Technology Centers play a key role within the Spanish implementation of the Framework Program projects, a basic instrument for European policies concerning R&D&I. In 2007 the 90 projects passed for the Centers totaled 15.2% of the Spanish return, a 5% increase over the 6th FP (2003-2006), which enjoyed a 10.5% return.


Return per researcher place Technology Centers at the forefront of the Spanish research scene, with the most efficient results (7.988 million €/1.000 researchers) compared to the national average of the other research organizations (1.076 million €/1.000 researchers).


The Centers also work as the driving force for the access of companies to the Framework Program.
